Christmas in Spain: Travel to Vigo Tips

Vigo is a hustling bustling city which is well known for its excellent seafood. It has a fascinating old quarter which features the neoclassical Church of Santa Maria. It is home to interesting and exciting Castro de Vigo archaeological site, and it is a gateway to the Cíes Islands which should be visited at least once.

Although you can fly, travel by train and car, the best way to get to Vigo is by boat. Here, you leave your vehicle in Cangas do Morrazo and take the ferry. The town of Cangas do Morrazo is beautiful in its own right, and you may want to spend some time here before moving on to Vigo.

The ferry sails directly into the heart of Vigo and is a beautiful trip in its own right. As you sail, you’ll feel more in a Christmas mood as the commercialisation of it falls away, and feelings of togetherness swell up inside you and your family.
